I've been playing the crap out of FEAR. Spoiler alert for those who haven't, because I will go into things below that give away stuff.I am madly infatuated with Paxton Fettel. Maybe this collage can show folks *why*
He is beautiful. He's so completely relaxed, completely in control of himself and the clone soldiers around him.
In fact he's very, very much like my character Sanger. Dark hair, gorgeous hairline, blue eyes (though Paxton's are very light, where Sanger's are very intense), that nose, that spooky ass voice. He's a second son. He's bat shit insane.
Sanger doesn't have mommy issues, though.
I did not want to kill Paxton. I think it was terribly unfair to give him such an intense personality, such a great role in the game, and then like the slave we are, Pointman has to shoot his own brother in the head for the sake of finishing the game. How I'd have worked it is to simply have two endings. Well, that'd ruin their future games of course but fuck it. I wanted to take my mask and gloves off, hold out my hand and give the guy a fucking hug. Tell him it's absolutely okay - I didn't know. I didn't remember. Not until he told me, and then it all comes back... And mother? They did these things to her, terrible things. He's right, she's right.
I wanted to help them destroy the world, for what they did...
Okay all that said, I haven't played FEAR 2 yet, though I'm withholding judgment on it until I do. I've heard it's crap, but it's canon crap, so ... Where as the two freebies in FEAR1 are *not* canon, and I can kind of see why. They equate to Opposing Force and Blue Shift were to Half Life 1. They are and they aren't part of the universe. They do and don't share things... But officially, they're not really part of it all and that's okay. I didn't care for most of either of them, though they were both quite fun.
I didn't go through them for screenshots though I might. I took around 35 of them while making the collage above and that only covers the first chapter of the game. There are a few more sightings, but you have to be bloody fast on the draw to catch them.
Okay I'm done chatting. Now, feel free to use this as a desktop image, that's what I'm doing.

When I saw it I was Like "Wait? What the..."Then "OMG. Paxtooon...*faint* *drool**swoon* Then...."WAAAAAAHHHHHH ;_; ...I never believed a simple pic will cause so much emotions in me.
I still love Paxton from F.e.a.r.1, Extraction Point,Perseus Mandtae so much.
And Hiddleston- he is awesome!

Yeah I like his original design best. But, animated they look to have really put a lot of effort into making him look more natural than the sock-puppet faces we got with fear 1.

I finally found a way to make the dev kit work with the game files, and spent several hours going through listening for his lines. There are a couple that I was unsure ever made it into the game itself, because they really surprised me. He quotes Shakespeare and then says "they taught me warfare. I learned Shakespeare on my own." O.o

Yeah I didn't hear it the whole time I played over again, so I'm pretty sure it was extra - maybe it got used in the addon two dlc things, not sure. (Though by the time I am finished with the 2nd of those I usually have motion sickness something fierce, doesn't happen in the normal game, so it might be the sub-par lighting in it.)
Oooh I also just noticed, after finishing up yesterday again, that we see Paxton in the same position at the very start, and very end of the game. Kneeling on the floor, waiting.

Awww ...simple and excellent work. He is an amazing man! Fell in love with the first minutes of the game) The first part was playing with over and over again expecting a meeting with him ^_^ Well, unless it can be called a negative character (and even more so to kill T_T) when he just wants to free her mother...

well sorry i am against your thought that killing Fettel was bad. I would agree he was awesome, a good character, and honestly I was looking forward to having to fight a huge epic battle with him where I would barely survive and stuff. Sadly that didnt happen I did enjoy killing him though I though it was a kinda cool way to die. Also he does come back to life so no worries. He continues to creep out and control his army of replicas. I respect that you can like him so much for what ever reasons and ull probably enjoy F.3.A.R (or F.E.A.R 3) since you can be Fettel, but I am a Pointman fan and am against calling him a slave since slaves are low and just follow orders. A MAN CHOOSES, A SLAVE OBEYS. Pointman is pretty brave in my opinion. He goes against many f-ed up things and has badass slow mo and he cannot come back to life like Fettel can. Nor can he control a platoon of soldiers. But he still manages to get past a lot the replica army, survive in many life threatening situations and still kill the boss Paxton Fettel. Good job on the wallpaper its really cool and shows all the great things about Fettel. If you wanna see how he comes back I would suggest playing the F.E.A.R expansions, F.E.A.R 2 expansion and F.E.A.R 2. The F.E.A.R 2 expansion is all about bringing him back from the dead. Im done talking if you wanna respond you may.

Though wouldn't you say that since we play Pointman in the first game, we SHOULD be allowed to choose whether we kill our own brother or not?
I'm not saying that Fettel wasn't insanely awful, or that Alma's reactions aren't a ... little bit over the top

well in F.E.A.R 2 your not pointman your Becket. and in Persueus Mandate your another guy thats not either Becket or Pointman. And in F.3.A.R he is just not wearing a helmet and in F.E.A.R 2 expansion your Foxtrot 813 if im not mistaken with the number and i always thought Fettel gave Foxtrot slow mo so Foxtro could bring him back to life cause without it you would get pwned.

Yup. I've only played 1 and the two expansions for it. I need to get 2 and its dlc, and am waiting for 3 which I think I may like more than what I've been hearing about 2.

probably. I liked F.E.A.R 2 but u may like it less cause there is no fettel ( at least that I can remember) except in the expansion. Also F.3.A.R looks great and Alma may have a 3rd kid. Only bad thing is that ive heard rumors this is the last F.E.A.R game

hey just some constructive criticism for you,
The images need to blend together to make it feel like they are part of one image. Maybe have all the small images blend into a fire red sky in the background of the main one, it would look a lot better.
Or maybe have a section of the image as character info like age, name, current status and role in the games. It would look a lot more professional and wouldn't look like you just threw it together for the sake of it.
That's the end of that lil rant sorry if it offended
