Description Dante mourning his losses and being all self reflective. Tee hee, Dante is my favorite, and although I'm not a big fan of this image I've painted of him particularly, he is one of my all time favorite video game characters. I imagine he'd be a little more reflective on his own time. He lost his brother three times, and once more permanently. Also, not really knowing Nero, who is somehow related to Sparda. I imagine it's all a little much to take sometimes. I dunno, maybe that's cause I'm a softie, but anywho, I hope you like. I wanted to play more with mood and lighting.

Capcom owns Dante.

Yes, I like it when people portray a behind the scenes Dante. He's funny, full of himself, and a badass but you know his past gets to him sometimes.

I definitely agree. I love seeing behind the scenes too. <3

Thank you so much! I'm very glad you like it! Dante's inner struggle kind of intrigues me with all that he has gone through and seen. so I hope that my painting has helped to portray that. Thank you for your kind words!

Aww, you're more than welcome!
I'm glad to find some pictures every now and then about his inner "demons". I think pretty much everybody knows even though he has a hard, rough appearance there is still a fragile, vulnerable child (who has seen too many bad things) inside.

You've portraited it so very well!
I truly love it!

Agreed. It kind of gives him a more human appearance to struggle with his own past and losses. And that was the main difference between Vergil and Dante--Dante is more accepting to his human side.

Thank you very much!

Indeed!
However since I saw Vergils acting at the end of DMC3 right before (and also how) he falls down into the demon world I believe he was just blinded by greed, but also has a stronger human side than demon side. He loves his brother. The evidence was when he kept Dante from "falling after him". Vergil is an emotional guy just as Dante. Unfortunately just a little off the right path.

You're very welcome!

That's a fair assessment. I think he does have the same emotions as his brother-- I feel that it's clear that he does love Dante, but he is less accepting of the human aspects of himself due to the "weakness" involved with human emotion and attatchment. But Dante is more accepting of these human emotions. I think the acceptance is the biggest difference. They both have a lot of emotional inner turmoil but they deal with it different from each other. I love the two of them for their difference in personalities, but seriously, the ending to DMC3 made me cry because of the push-pull aspect to their relationship. It was sad to me because you know by the first DMC that it doesn't work out happily.

Great work, how did he lose Virgil permanently?

By the end of Devil May Cry, you find out Nelo Angelo is pretty much Vergil's soul. He dies. He also loses his fight to Mundus in DMC3. You know that because of Nelo Angelo in DMC.
