i don't know how you come up with all those patterns, let alone make them gel together

Its not very often I view full images (dialup) but theses ones are worth it.
The details look all the better close up.
Do you devide the paper first or afterwards?

I divide it up first then make the contrasting patterns based on light and dark and what it is ajacent to.

It's an interesting way to go about making these.
