Description Wth does isometric even mean? O-o I looked it up, and the definition made no sense...

-noob-

Anywho, this is my author tag. Felt like making one, since I didn't have one... I like to be special, okay?

That symbol at the bottom is NOT a little devil stick-figure. x3 It's an alchemical symbol. Look it up.

Also, the top part was rather random, and I guess it's supposed to look like a bleeding cut. Yeahp. I suck.

Anywho... if it ever properly uploads, expect to see this in use soon.

WHOOPS. Originally saved this as the wrong filetype. It's fixed now. My bad.

Do you mind if I use the bleeding cut idea for my author tag?

By the way, do you know this is on the first page you see when you go to 'Most Popular Author Tags of All Time'?

It must be. .___.;

And I don't even use it anymore... I wonder how many random deviants are using it without permission. xD

Lol. Would that bother you to come across your own author tag on someone else's work? or would it make you proud?

Both. Because I didn't authorize it for general use, but they thought it was cool. xD

Isometric is like when you see something from a 3/4 angle, instead of head-on in pixel art.

Think, like, when you see a basic 3-d picture of a cube. If you were to rotate that so that the square on top was a diamond, and all of the vertical sides --y'know what? This is easier.. These are all objects from an isometric perspective.

Amusingly enough, I was only here to compliment you on your use of the Mercury symbol. Guess that's probably not what the 'little devil stick figure' means in alchemy, huh?

All in all--neat tag. I need to remake mine soon. ^_^;

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-28 02:28:59 +0000 UTC]

xD Thanks for the definition. Now why couldn't dictionary.com come up with that one?

And that's partly the mercury symbol, but it's actually a combination of... well, all the planetary symbols. There are other ways of doing it, but this one looks coolest. xD;

I applaud you for knowing one of them, though. Most people are like 'Huur, it's a demon!!11'

Thanks. x3

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-28 02:53:47 +0000 UTC]

XD Actually, I'm pretty familiar with all of the planetary signs, on their own... I went through this whole gypsy phase where I learned how to read palms and drove around the country in a van. Learned a decent amount about astrology during that time, but nothing about Alchemy. I just recognized Mercury quickest because I relate so strongly with that god/planet/whatever. ^_^;

xD Ahhh... I know about alchemy because anything like that has always fascinated me. Mythology, folklore, urban legends, mysticism; I'll learn about it all.

Alchemy has got to be one of the best, however, since not all of its principles can be disproven. Some still argue that gold can be made from lead, and there /is/ some gold that seems to have unknown origin... so it's quite interesting.

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-28 05:25:58 +0000 UTC]

Actually, that is quite interesting. As a kid, I thought Alchemy was pretty neat-o, until I found out that I was really just talking about Chemistry. XD Still, the idea of turning one material into another (regardless of whether we're talking lead, gold, feathers, or chewing gum) is a mighty fascinating one.

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-28 05:36:14 +0000 UTC]

Yes it is. I've always figured that it kinda... well, it sort of makes sense. If you managed to add the kind of elements it was lacking, then rearrange the structure... then it could happen, right? xD I have no idea, really. I totally fail at science.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-28 05:39:27 +0000 UTC]

Well, I mean, the idea is totally plausible, it's really just a question of what level of control do we really have of our world? Are humans capable of manipulating atoms to such a specific degree? I imagine that once we do get to that point, an awful lot of our world problems are going to be solved... Though our economy will be destroyed. ^_^;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-28 06:07:31 +0000 UTC]

And if some people get hold of it, a lot else besides. xD

Yeah... but who needs economy anyhow? I'd prefer the barter days. I'll give you a cow for that xbox 360, eh? Eehhhh? 8D

xDDD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-28 06:11:07 +0000 UTC]

XD Yes, but when we've reached the point that we can transfigure materials like that, what happens to the worth of any sort of barter chip?

Also, as School House Rock pointed out, getting change for a cow isn't easy. ^__^;; To be honest, this conversation's giving me fun ideas for a new apocalypse stories.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-28 06:35:45 +0000 UTC]

xDDD Awesome. And change for a cow would be... like... a leg. :0 Unless you wanted a milk cow. 'Cause then you get some of the milk it makes back. See? It all works out. x3

But just like I've said about getting rid of the penny: the money system changes, so do the prices. They'd just make it so you can't have 1 cent left over. Or, in this case, can't have change for a cow. x3

Glad to see something other than non-sensical science on my part is coming out of this.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-28 08:02:46 +0000 UTC]

True, true... but bartering in modern society would still have some short comings... Not that our current form of currency is perfect, by any means. XD

And to be honest, it's still non-sensical science, on both our parts... but that's just life. ^_^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-28 09:28:57 +0000 UTC]

A heck of a lot of science is non-sensical, even the professional kind. >___>;

Thank you, government, for trying to invent teleporters like in Star Trek, and wasting millions of dollars on it. x3 -snort-

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-28 10:35:17 +0000 UTC]

Well, we have successfully teleported basic elements across a room. That's something, at least. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-28 21:46:32 +0000 UTC]

Alright, so we can transport pure nitrogen across a room. But until I see people whooshing around without being ripped apart, I'm not impressed. xD;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-29 10:20:45 +0000 UTC]

Well, I think that the better solution is just trying to turn people into pure nitrogen, and then re-humanifying them when they get across the room. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-29 10:57:29 +0000 UTC]

-snort-
Now that would be a trick. I suppose it comes along with the alchemy thing. Making elements into other ones. ;3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

distortified In reply to Leucrotta [2007-08-29 11:17:28 +0000 UTC]

Hell, while we're at it, we could just solve the whole problem, and turn people into light. ^_^ We wouldn't have to teleport, if we could move that fast. You get the glowy paint, and I'll get the rollers? ^_^?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Leucrotta In reply to distortified [2007-08-29 23:42:11 +0000 UTC]

xDDD Yeah, good idea.
I'll just steal some of that paint they used to use for wristwatch dials. That'll solve the radiation problem, too. ;3
