This may be the worst possible thing I could have looked at mere seconds before going to bed. I've always admired your skill with creating an atmosphere but I'd really have been okay without it here. God dang is that thing creepy. And the closeness makes the whole thing agonizingly claustrophobic.

nope, atleast not when i start, the motif i find usually between 1-20 min painting random shapes, for this particular one i knew like 1 min in

It looks really good. I still don't know. How did you get these color aberrations? Picture looks like a photo with defects. Is it a filter or anything else?

its a a quick trick yes, move the red channel a few pixels in any direction, and voila
