Description
Finally got my graphical tablet. Done a observational sketch of my ceiling after practicing my lines (warmup). After this I did a drawing of Homer Simpson from the first episode (originally he's happy), somehow I messed the face up continually making him look surprised, angry or sceptical... While experimenting I found that placing heavyweight on the nose or brows give completely different explanations which was a great learning experience. As for the eye, I used a tutorial online that guided me step by step, later did the nose and will need to upload the full sketch later. I'm trying to learn on both digital and paper. I find that I enjoy paper more for blind contour but for observational drawing digital is unique and interesting, even when slightly inaccurate it has surprisingly accurate results.
