thank you for the wonderful tutorial! I don't have photoshop, I use GIMP, but I can see some of the differences and I will have to look around to see what to use with it. (or either it's just called something different in mine XD) I can't wait to use this in my next coloring^^

Yep :3 I don't use Painter anymore though, I use Open Canvas 4.06 Plus instead.
Lol sorry, I can't. The only way I can think of getting them for free is to torrent them. But since DA prohibits us to link to torrent, I cannot link them to you. You can search for them on torrent sites though.

for shading you can also use the burn and dodge tools also you can use the smudge tool to get well even blended shading

I don't recommend using dodge and burn tool though.From my experience, it's better to pick colors manually than to rely on what dodge and burn tool will gave you :3 It gives you more control on the color schemes of your pictures. (besides, dodge and burn tool tend to be too contrast)

SO. QUESTION.
When i don't have transparent lineart i make my color layer Multiply. (i put it above the lineart layer.) But what do i do about the shade layer? I like to make a separate layer for shading, on top. But when i make the shade layer Multiply it makes the colors all different from when i choose it. And if the shade layer is Normal the colors go over the lines. What should i do~?? Can i only have colors and shade on the same layer?

Well, I'm afraid the best solution for that (that I know of).. is to just paint the shading layer above your colors layer, and then erase the excess colors that go over the line manually, which is a total pain if you don't use tablet @_@
OR
select the area you want from the lineart using magic wand tool. Then you can make shade layer above the color layer and paint inside the selected area. The downside of this is that you can't use polygonal lasso tool. You can only use brush to paint inside the selected area.
(Hope I'm making sense; even after 3 years since this tutorial was made my English has not become better, which is sad)

What if you directly drew on the computer using like MS Paint, Save it then upload it to Photoshop... How do you make it transparent?

I'd say your English is very good, all things considered. Heh. It even rivals some ppl I know where English is their first language (sucha headache)
But anyway, your tutorial makes a lotta sense to me, and I've NEVER used Photoshop of any kind before. (don't own it yet)
