Thomas was fussing around preparing a goods train in the yards. He had gotten a line of trucks collected when Harrison arrived with a rather indignant face.
“Little tank engine! I need my trucks at the station by o-nine hundred hours and it is 20 minutes until the deadline, get those trucks marshalled triple time now!” When Harrison was agitated he would start talking like he was back in the operating division.
“Did you come out of the wrong end of the shed this morning?” Thomas asked cheekily.
“Pah! My driver would not make such a silly mistake.” Harrison continued as the joke went over his smokebox “Stop wasting time, station pilot. What would our director think of this insolence?”
“I’m not the one wasting time. Instead of barking orders at me for a job I know how to do, you could be spending this time going to the turntable to get yourself turned around. Or would you rather pull the train tender first?”
“Enough with your quote ‘witty and humorous' remarks”
“I mean I would finish the work if you weren’t in the way of your own trucks.”
Harrison shutted up for a brief second, staring down at a line of vans in front of him.
“Maybe you could help me put these together while we’re here, a good commander always helps his soldiers”
“No! Tender engines don’t shunt!”

You may have noticed Thomas is an E2 now lol (I am so sorry for these constant changes to my au rip I am a notoriously indecisive person) I’ll probably explain my reasoning for this in a future post but yea.
