While making a doll, I got bored and thought 'I should do a WIP,' then I thought 'I could make this into a tutorial too.' I added some of my own comments to the screens. This doll started out as me wanting to try a bunch of different things. I wanted this to show how I work. Some people don't know that MS Paint is an amazing program for pixeling.

I usually start out by having my pre-made palette in the corner set on a color so that I can see the light colors well. The palette was a pain in the back making, but well worth it. It has just about any color I could want. If anyone wants it feel free to ask and I'll post it. That little typed up plan for the doll really helped me. Usually I make it up as I go, but that doesn't help much. I nearly always have an alternate idea that pops up, so I draw it separately and if I like it I keep it or if I like both I keep both. I start my doll by drawing on the outlines of the clothes, hair, shoes, etc. Then I choose colors, having outlines helps me create the picture in my mind and see how the colors would look together. Basically it's so I can see the finished doll with colors in my head. I always have the base with changed eye color and/or makeup available at all times because I usually want to change something along the line somewhere.
