Wow. It is almost as if the flower want to suck you in! The dark coloring around teh pistal is awesome. The red is so vibrant... It doesn't matter if the the flower was cleaned or not! The pollen adds the the beauty of this pic... what is the name of the flower if you don't mind my asking?

I have no idea what kind of flower that is, I found it in a botanical garden, so it can be anything

A great piece of macro-photography, I can't actually think of any way I'd improve on it... except putting my name on it!

Very very nice. Don't sharpen it or clean it or whatever someone might suggest - this is exactly how it's supposed to be.

lovely lovely macro - quite a difficult one too, with so many parts in the middle, I suppose accounting for some blurriness of some of the components
it's great though in spite of that

i love how this picture draws the viewer towards the center of the flower (i always fins that the most interesting part!). It only seems to be semi focused on the centre of the flower however. - if that makes sense?

It's hard to focus on everything inside a flower, it's just so much in so many layers.

It's hard to make interesting macros of flowers, but the combination of
dust and shallow DOF, as well as the nice colours and symmetry really
seem to work well together.

When I see pictures like this I want a macro lens, but then I have to
remind myself that I'm supposed to learn/do other things now

poppies will put them to sleep..poppies....

can i suggest, to sharpen the whole outer green things (sorry , i don't know what they're called) that go around the other green center thing.....

someof them are blurry, but some of them are really focused

nice shot though....

This is a really is a nice photo. I can't find the words right now to describe it! At first glance I didn't even notice that it was in fact a flower though. I've never seen a flower filled with so much male reproduction dust... What kind of flower is that by the way?
Great picture.

I have no idea what kind of flower it is, I just found it in a botanic garden of som sort, at a plant school nearby, and it wasn't very well marked...
