Garnet is the only member of the Crystal Gem team who looks like a superhero. Those who follow the show know the secret behind her appearance. I won't spoil it for others. The character is voiced by British singer Estelle. She is better known than the rest of the voice cast of "Steven Universe". Garnet has rapidly gathered a following as a role model for strong black women. I have started to see cosplay of Garnet at conventions.
