Description More of my Shego art can be found in my KP gallery:

This is what happens when a member of the "I Married a Beast" Support Group meets an attendee of the "My Partner is a Fool" Support Group.

In this case the former is represented by Liz Sherman from "Hellboy" and the latter is Shego from "Kim Possible".

I chose to depict Liz as she appeared in the most recent movie.

Given that Liz saw precious little panel-time in the original comic (though a spin-off series titled "BPRD" does star her & several fellow supporting supernaturals), those stats would naturally skew toward her film/toon appearances. Great job on the former in any case, and pardon me for some truly pointless nit-picking.

Aside from ethnicity (which is rather hard to tell from appearance alone, what with the minty tint), Selma seems a bit too introspective for a live-action Shego...one DArtist ( [link] ) posted a Photoshopped Eliza Dushku in the role some time back, and given her sass & aggro on "BtVS" I'd say they have the right idea. Come to think of it, another DArter ( [link] ) 'shopped Ms. Blair's cover pic from the Hellboy 1 DVD, so at least both sides are represented.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one to see this!!! Great job on that! I actually think that Selma Blair would make a good Shego.

THANX.

There are too many artists on DA who want to show female characters in catfights and conflicts. I maksparks fly for a different reason. These two characters are rather morose by nature. It is a departure to see them happy.

I believe that it has been established that Shego is a person oriental heritage. An Asian actress such as Lucy Liu would be a better match for a live action movie.

Appearance-wise, I've always preferred what little we saw of Liz in the comics as well as the recent "Hellboy Animated" titles (e.g. long-haired brunette), but your style makes the film version astoundingly cute. The various lighting effects employed here (fireballs, fireworks & the hues cast on both femmes' lines) are equally eye-catching; the eyes themselves are gorgeous (and quite expressive in Liz's case); and the respective ensemble-details (especially Liz's boots, choker & BPRD patch) are spot-on.

The only detail that bothers me here involves the size of our pyrotechnic poster-gals' high-signing hands...and that can easily be chalked up to perspective & positioning. Delightful work.

It was a hard call on Liz. I haven't read the comic, nor seen the animated version. On DA other artists have split the versions about 10% Dark Horse comic, 40% animated and 50% Selma Blair. I drew Liz from memory after just having seen HB2. She still came out a little odd in proportions because I had to get her to align with Shego. WTF.

The whole point of this picture is mutual recognition.
