Yeah...Kids should not be watching this show! I have seen a few episodes and it revolved around Mozart and her babies getting eaten...then there was the other one about the other manor getting attacked by a cobra and then there were attacks where they kept killing eachother and such...all I could think about was...."DAMN! Animal Planet!!! WHY this rated PG????" Though I'm not entirely sure of its TV rating.
Even so, I do love it. It shows nature to its core.
Who said that humans were the worst animals alive?! At least we all don't abandon our young and EAT THEM!!!

lol everything has it's own role in life. for meerkats, its getting rid of the competition. all animals are selfish. but they aren't evil lol they gotta do what they can to survive. u knw?

Mozart was so awesome just because she kept on fighting to the end. Did not deserve that end at all, though. her death was the one time in the show I got angry at the researchers for not intervening. Hadn't these people ever heard of Deus Ex Machina!?

LMAO!!!! This is so true!!!!! I've seen Meerkat Manor a few times and it is incredibly violent for kids!! I'm surprised they can cater to them at all.... I guess that's why they chose adorable, fuzzy animals as the subjects.

No...its an anime...look it up on youtube I suppose...Narutaru (Shadowstar) Is an anime about a girl who finds this strange creature and names it Hoshi maru. The theme to the show begins with chibis and happy emotions but the anime itself is incredibly violent. There isn't really any comedy in it! The theme just sends you in.

Don't get me wrong, the meerkats are adorable, but then the storyline goes a wee bit depressing when the babies disappear or are in serious danger. Or it goes all 'Animal Porn' when they show them having sex (which, don't get me wrong, is just natural)
