Mourning

Blanka is full grown, but her growth spurt came at the worst of times. Its been a bit since Deelagun's attack but town square is still in dreadful shape. Most Wyngro are doing their best to recover and rebuild what has been lost. Be it housing, friendships or other Wyngros as well. During the battle, Charmy and Blanka took shelter in their home. At the time of their absence they did manage to finish building their small hut in Charmys tree. But never expected to return after so much destruction. The home they once knew is in shambles, and some of the Wyngro they use to know...are they even alive?

Blanka has grown restless after reaching adulthood. Her need for fulfillment in life is growing tremendously and she knows that what she needs is not here in this tree with Charmy. It was a stormy day, the sky still colored with debris.

"We need to talk." Blankas arms lay by her side. Eyes shifting side to side, nervous.

Charmy was in the tree, trying to clean the soot off the trees leaves. "Sure Blanka, what is it?"

"I...Want to leave the tree"

He stops cold. "You know we can't do that. We may still be in danger for all we know." He continues cleaning, not looking her way.

She stomps "How can you be so sure when we have not left in months! All you do is say how much danger we are in but how do we even know if we lost connection with the other grows since we went into hiding! How can you be so sure...You youself have not even tried to communicate with the others. At least I'll be able to find out whats even going on."

He drops from his branch in her direction. "I said we can't do that, and that's final. I'm only trying to protect you."

Her voice spikes "NO! you are only trying to protect yourself. You don't even care if we ever see the outside world at all! Don't you want to help? Don't you miss your friends? Whats stopping you!"

Charmy exclaims. "I'm scared! And the last thing I want is for you to be put in danger! I swear everything I do is so I can't lose you, I would not be able to bear it if something were to happen to you. Why can't you understand that?"

Blanka rushes forward, tears forming in her eyes. "I'm scared too, did you ever consider that! I'm scared that I will be trapped here for who knows how long while life rushes by me! I refuse to stay here while I can be making something of myself. And you should be thinking about the same thing. What have you done so far that is remotely notable as a success?"

He exhales "One of my biggest feats was raising you, I gave up my time to make sure I could give you the best life I can. I'm not a typical parent, but I feel like I did the best job I could have. And I still intend to do whats best for you, whats best for us."

Her anger boils and body begins to shake. "I'm grateful for what you've done. But I'm leaving and you cannot stop me. I've already gathered my things and plan to head out in the next hour. I'm going to find the others and start my life. I hope you understand."

He cannot contain himself. "Blanka, you will NOT leave the tree!"

Blanka grips at her choker. "That's not your choice...you're not even my reAL DAD!!!"

Blanka snaps her necklace off and tosses it by Charmys claws. His face beats red, tears flooding out from his eyes as he grips the choker in his mouth. Looking up, he sees Blanka making her way down the hill with her things...Guess she decided to leave early.

No words could escape his mouth. There is nothing he could possibly say to make her stay, and that's the truth.
