you know what they say... a picture says a thousand words... well i saw a photo of this old chap and instantly fell in love.... looking at him you'd definitely say he has a fascinating past and a great story to tell.The old man came up on a random google search.
i have learned that drawing this kind of portrait is ar morei nteresting than drawing the overly photoshopped and airbrushed photos of celebrities... there's nothing wrong with the flaws.... flaws = character!
edit: I've rescanned this, and dumbed down the contrast of the scan, it now looks like it does on the paper! never underestimate the difference a scanner can make to your hard work!!

he looks the the old guy on the 3rd season BOY MEETS WORLD episode where Shawn gets advice from a guidance counselor and decides to go Paris, France but finds out he's really goin to Paris, Texas...he gives the old man the ticket and he says "alright, i'm goin to Europe!!"....well done on the pic

thank you Mark... this one hasnt done very well in comparison to the airbrushed celebrities i've drawn, so maybe we are wrong! but there is so much beauty in wrinkles i think! someones life story etched on their face...

We are most definitely right because we were inspired to do them. My fav drawing from last year was a wrinkly man .. i loved drawing him and i learned a lot. They will never do as well as celebs but if it pleased you drawing it and you felt you achieved your goal then what else matters. It looked like you really enjoyed drawing this one a lot
