Description This is more experimenting with a close-up in that expressionist style. I love the colours in this.

This is David Bowie's neck. ^_^

Title from his song 'Diamond Dogs', which I was listening to at the time.

At first I wasn't going to include any black, but I think it looks much better with it.

I'm not overly happy with the hair, though. I like having ONLY scribbly lines in these pieces, as in no lines that go the same direction as the flow of the body, or in this case the hair. I don't like it because it's kind of cheating, making your eyes see the way the lines move instead of letting them see it themselves through density and colour of the scribbles.
Or something like that.

But then again, it's hair. And David Bowie's hair can do whatever it wants to do, in my opinion.

Rawrrrr.

NECK!!!!

Dude. OMFG. I love how you did the... augh, what's the word... like you know how the kneck isnt's straight like a forehead? It has... you know... cords or something? Fuck, you know what I mean. Anyway, I freaking love how you did those. They're so hard for me. I always just draw a black line... and it looks stupid... but this is awesome. Totally.

I think my favorite bits are the line of the jaw, the little bit of ear, and the hair. I don't know WHY. They're just amazing. *_*

The part of the neck I have no idea what to call either, it's just some sort of muscle to help turn and pivot the head, I think. But yeah, it's really hard to do in just comicy-style, or basically ANY style where you don't have a sharp use of shadow. Shadow = Goodness.

I think I like the jaw the best. But I'm glad you recognised the little bit of ear for an actual ear, because I thought it looked kinda odd.

Heh, I didn't have any other art program on my computer at the time, and I wanted to try out using a tablet for the first time. I like the results, though. ^_^

I'm glad you like it too!

I'm glad I came back! your tablet stuff is mso awesome! You'll keep going at it, right?

This one is pretty sexy. This is a lovely area of the body. Again, I love your color choice, and again I love your style. Its so different and expressive. You are very detailed by using lines that in themselves are not at all. While all drawing is like that, this work is especially. Love!

Wow, I can't believe you came to look again! I'm flattered, honestly. I'll keep doing a lot of these expressionist tablet works, yes. ^.^

I like working with bare, plain skin. The whole human body can be very beautiful and sexy! Colour choice is one of the most difficult parts of these drawings, though. Because I'm not exactly colouring in, and normal skin-tones are boring, I have to choose colours that go together AND that go from light to dark. The only part harder than picking out the colours to use is drawing the bare essentials of the outline. Once the shading and highlighting starts it's all fun!

"You are very detailed by using lines that in themselves are not at all."- I love this. It sums it up so well!

Again, thankyou for your lovely long comment. You actually give me feedback, and you have no idea how glad I am for that. ^_^

If you keep up the work, I'll keep my eye on you!
You seem very in love with your work, and that is inspring.
Thanks for the watch, I'm going to watch you too. I'm looking forward to more.

Oh, I do love my work. Mostly. Mainly the expressionist stuff. But how can I not love it when I physically put so much of my raw emotion into it?

Your photography is very interesting. I wish I had done photography, now. But I don't think I really have the eye for it, and I enjoy making my art layer by layer instead of through a lens, I guess. Ahwell, each to his own!

I'm glad to hear it. (regarding your love of art) It is one thing to make it and another to feel it.

Oh, and thank you. I enjoy photography because with it you can take things that normally wouldn't come together in your mind and bam! There they are, and they are beautiful. There is something intresting about freezing a real event. As for your work, I appreciate it because it is not like what I do at all. I've taken a figure drawing class and so I know the joy of captuing the human form, and I love your take on it.

Ah, see you like photography because you can feel the actual art in it. I can't, really. I do like taking photos, but I can't ever get it right, and I don't really ever have that fun artsy feeling I get with my own art. But I do love looking at good photos, and I can see how cool it must be to feel so creative in that way.

I'm doomed to be a simple touristy snapshot photographer.

I really like this new 'series', so to speak, with things with your tablet. They're simple but very striking, and the colours you use are interested and go very well together. The shading is done pretty much flawlessly, too, which is something I envy, because I can almost NEVER get shading in a picture right.

Good job, Li!

I'm glad you're liking my expressionist stuff! It's so fun to make, I really enjoy it, and even I'm amazed at the finished result. As soon as I can be bothered, I'll take photos of my pastel works that are very similar to these. ^_^

Thankyou for your lovely comment. <3
