Tidal Twist Earrings - specially designed for the Summer Lovin' Contest [link] by Jewelry Metal Makers [link]Summer = The beach. Taking my kids to the beach and watching my son and daughter play in the waves. My 2 year old son likes to watch the tide breaking over his toes. That is what inspired the design for these earrings.
The large blue bead is the ocean, the 5 small beads are the tide breaking across the golden beach sand, swirled with gold like the water mixing with the sand. Gold wire twists are for the swirls in the sand as the water recedes. Gold and blue, sand and sea.
Hand twisted by freehand technique, with non tarnishing gold wire and glass beads. The ear wires are also hand twisted - this entire piece made from scratch for this contest.
