This is cool/interesting.
I really dig the idea of a past brutal conflict combined with modern fantasies of future increased brutality.
Only one complaint, the shadows on the rear soldier are much darker than the shadows on the warhound.
Good image overall though.

wow...this is really cool! Better than what GW currently does with their photoshop. I dont know if you are interested in this, but its always worth a try. Im working on a project called the Anargo Sector Project. With this project we try to create an entire Imperial sector in full detail. We will be working on the background of the worlds, factions, technology, people, etc etc of the Anargo Sector, this means not only Imperial stuff but also the other races present. However we are not only going to cover the background of this, we will also have artwork, modelling and gaming play a big role in the project.

As always Im looking for skilled people who can either draw, write, model, paint very well and try to lure them to join our growing community. But your work is something totally new in a way, we dont have good looking photoshopped pictures and this could be a cool opportunity to include that. So if you are interested you should check out our forum and show off your work. Here is the forum: [link]

We also have a wiki page running where you might get a better idea of the big picture we are working towards: [link]

It has a very retro look to it, like those old B&W stop-motion monster flicks, except, like you said, the Warhound doesn't look superimposed on it, it looks like part of an actual picture. good job on the photo manipulation! g/j

thats amazing... how was this done... with a stock photo and the mech or what

thank you.

it is a stock wwii image and an image of the warhound. the warhound is desaturated and the opacity fiddled with until it looks like its hazy in the fog of war. then retouching the stock background image until the warhound looks like it is part of the image rather than superimposed on it.
