He’d never known what a “burn” was. Now he knew why his father had always told him to avoid humans at all costs. The one Dean had saved from drowning had touched his shoulder... now Dean bore a raised handprint there that would make it extremely obvious what he had done.
A merman/human reversed roles take on “raised you from Perdition.” If you look closely, you can see the fingerprints on his shoulder. I wanted to go for a more traditional tail color here, but with more of a flashy betta-type fin.
