During the camp I was a photographer at, we took one day to visit the local zoo. The red foxes were not shy at all, very curious about us and my camera making it easy to take some really nice shots..It was cloudy so most pictures were shot at ISO800, still giving me decent results. The telelens impressed me with some really razorsharp images, such as this one. Not as sharp as the 70-200VR, not even near at 100%, but still definately sharp enough, especially after some photoshop-sharpening.
Edit: Haven't checked DA for a loooong while now, some people have requested permission to add this picture to their journals and I'll just write here that it's OK, actually I'm just flattered

I was just at a zoo today and it killed me turning the ISO way up, but it's better than nothing. Great shot though, this one is very impressive for a zoo shot!

Thanks! What camera have you got? Even for an old D70 I think it handles the noise rather well, at least up to 800-1000. Not fantastic but apparently enough as seen on this shot
I'm glad those foxes were so interested in us, that made it very easy to take pictures! It was just to lean forward and put the lens so close to the fence as possible

I just got a Canon Rebel XT (350D). It's my first digital SLR camera and I'm very satisfied with it. After all, the camera I was using before it was a 1970s 35mm film camera. Digital is SOOOO much better.

Foxie, är det den som är lite mer ljus här och där? Isåfall har jag en bra bild på henne också, då hon var fram till stängslet och hade sig.. hur söt som helst XD En kompis fick en bra bild på henne med mobilkameran, då hon viftade med tassen precis framför kameran ut genom stängslet, själv hade jag telelinsen monterad så jag hann inte fota då hon gjorde så mot mig xD
