Cabanela died. A lot.
IKR?! I was stuck at that part too! And in the end that damn hat was supposed toΒ stillΒ be on that shelf!
Just like in Phoenix Wright, Redd White's testimony! How the fuck, pray tell, was I supposed to know that I had to press all the statements TWICE?!

Possible spoiler alerts ahead!
After a few days playing that game, I finally finished today!
I totally pair Beauty and that guy, and Bailey and his coworker now XD
And right after I played that game I bet you can guess what I started calling my cat XD
Also - THOSE FEELS! I was sitting there practically the whole ending going especially at the "Somebody, please look at me..." line! That was the most heart-wrenching part!
Also I was all like "Lynn, will you just stop dying already!" so often... Until I got to that one Cabanela puzzle (I call him captain fabulous because I kept forgetting how to say his name XD) and I was suddenly like "Lynn come back!" That and the "hunter prison run" were the hardest to navigate for me I'd say...
Also - What, no panic dance? XD
... I got super-suspicious when that cat jumped out of that bag, but I was NOT prepared for the ending.
Lastly, when I got to the whole "Yomiel" part I was totally thinking "what are you - Lynne!?"

You did the same thing I did after finishing ghost trick. I was petting my cat and telling her how much I love her.

Oh, you know, when I got to the final chapter, I cried too. Buckets of water. And still do if I see provoking art.

Yes, it was so great.
It was like a harpoon made of emotions piercing my heart with feels.

I wouldn't have said it better! Usually game plots can't make me shed more that a couple of tears, but Ghost Trick broke me completely. Respect to makers! =')

Ohoho! xP
Darn I forgot to comment about how good your drawing was. And that the comic totally describes the parts in the game. Ahaha xD I had a lot of time figuring out the Cabanela one too! Didn't think it would work that way. 8D

I'm working on it! My friend can't find a good port of the game.
That does look cool though. I think you had me from time travel and holy Christ did that dog just talk?

It's a mystery that uses time-travel and ghosts well.
In that you know the rules of how the stuff works, and when the mystery deepends, it's logically based on what you already know.

....which pretty much sounds like the perfect way you should have a mystery storyline.

And when you go back and replay it you see all these hints that are so obvious in hindsight...
But I'll spare you from my analysis on the mystery and the artistic merits of the game.
For now.

At my first playthrough I never even saw the fabulous way you can fail that puzzle (death via hard hat) so I was confused at the hints the game gave me...
So Inspector Cabanela got annoyed at me a lot for gettng shot to the face.

Lieju In reply to Wumpatrix [2013-06-23 17:19:01 +0000 UTC]
The reason I had trouble in that puzzle was that I started solving it immediately and got to the soft hat on my first try.
And then I was confused at the characters telling me the soft hat was the same shape as the hard one and thought I had to do something to make the hat more bullet-shaped.
That's a great lesson in video-game writing and how the player can miss a part making the dialogue you write lose their context.
