This requires some explanation, methinks.In "Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles" , I misheard Chris Redfield saying when storming Russian Umbrella facility : "They got their sticky fingers in every pie"
(What he really says is "They got their sticky fingers in every POT", because, you know, that makes so much more sense and doesn't sound silly at all...)
The little guy peeking behind Jill's leg is a baby licker. I just wanted to draw something cute there. I guess he just started following them, and since he was so cute, they didn't want to kill him...
BTW, Sergei and Wesker are eating blueberry pie.

My favourite pie is Mrs Lovett Pies 
And Chris may of meant to say pie, but it came out as pot. Pie would make more sense in that situation anyway.

Chris was actually okay with Umbrella conducting unethical experiments and releasing zombie-viruses around, but when they mess with his food, they have gone too far.

Lickers were muscular and intimidating in Re2, but in Umbrella Chronicles they made them scrawny and small. They looked like hairless monkeys, and actually pretty cute.

Part of them losing their scariness was of course the way Umbrella Chronicles was a rail-shooter and they weren't especially dangerous enemies. In RE2 just hearing their sound gave a scare, because they were actually strong and hard to kill...
I kinda liked their design in the first live-action movie. Allthough it was weird how they changed the reason they were born. (It was something crap about how they were humans who were infected when they were still alive or something like that, I don't remember...)
