It is...it's the plaster they use to make moulds of peoples mouths so they can work on false teeth etc...it's very fine plaster and will set like rock on a canvas.

The reason your painting are so .. lush .. is the texture. The colours are so subtle but if they were flat they just wouldn't work. I do love the texture.
