First things first - I really didn't know how to call this one, so I decided to give her a name. I felt Hannah fitted, but there's no deep interesting thought behind that, to be honest.

I'm pretty happy with how she turned out! I believe she's the best portrait I've ever made. I sketched her outlines completely before I started drawing. Never done that before, at least not to the extend that I only started shading when I felt the outlines were good. With other portraits I'd never pay much attention to sketching and I'd just start with drawing. So there was definately a learning point here for me.

I've almost completely drawn her during my summer holiday in Bretagne, France, using only a crappy dark print as a reference. That's why the lightning in here is quite dramatic. But I don't mind how that came out, I feel it's not that bad. But anyway - after the holiday I'd only had to finish her shirt. And that was only done a couple of days ago *shame on me *. But here she is! Finally!

Thinking like that, should she be the last drawing of 2010 or the first of 2011?

I really want to start drawing portraits more often. I feel like I'm a portrait artist, but I don't really have a reason to feel like that lol. There are not that many portraits in my gallery, and even less that I'm satisfied with. So maybe there'll be more portraits in the future, if I can find some time again to draw. But do not worry - fantasy like drawings and other more conceptual drawings will not leave .

I've had some comments from time to time of people saying they like to read my comments at the drawings. I'm always happy to get comments like those, it feels nice to know that there are also people who actually read all my brain spill-outs So thank you to those people, you know who you are.

Can't think of anything more to write here, but as always I'll probably edit the artists comments later on to add more rambling .

Total time: No idea, I really should start recording that.
Materials: A4 paper, regular wooden pencils (something in the range of 8B-3H), mechanical pencil, erasers, tissues, tortillion.
References: Female Stock 63 by ~Katanaz-Stock
Digital representation: This is a scan of the drawing, altered slightly in photoshop to match the origional (within the limits of my very limited photoshop knowledge ). A white border and a watermark were added and the scan was resized.
This drawing belongs to ~Liennepien . Don't use it without my explicit written permission, or you'll be sneezed to death.
