Description This is for *theme-of-the-week 's theme Storyteller

At first, I had planned to draw Jester, since he's the character I automatically think of when hearing that word, but the cranky little shit was determined not to cooperate, which resulted in me dumping his ass for Hazard instead, since my adorable hobo Mad Hatter works as well x'D

Hazard is then the one with the hat, and he's telling a story to Yuujirou (with dreads, my character) and Mitch (with reddish hair, *Kladdpapper 's character) because they are young enough to still be completely entranced by it All are a part of the steampunk roleplay she and I have together.
And yes, apparently it's a very scary and mysterious story, since Hazard looks a lot more evil than he should
And yes, Yuujirou can seriously look that braindead. Very often actually, despite him being a doctor and all (a young one, yes, since he's a bit of a genius on the studying part)
Hazard is, in case you didn't know, some sort of travelling magician, that earns money by entertaining, and telling stories is a part of that, yes, as well as playing the violin.

So. I should really have planned this one better, since I ended up colouring it all today, despite the fact that I've sleep like three hours and am running purely on sugar at the moment -___-
Buuuut it's finished. That's what counts I guess

This was good when it came to light... having to remember where it was supposed to be light and dark and all that.
But it's definitely rushed, so be kind.

I'm very fond of Hazard.
He's fun to play, fun to draw and just... well... I like him
Even if he looks completely fucked up.

Enjoy anyway!
I'm not entirely sure how coherent I am at the moment, but ah well

Thank you! I have a thing for details
He's really good at it I think the most interesting part would be to see his body language... he's very expressive when it comes to that.

Thank you so much for liking it!
You make me very happy! ^_^

This is how I exactly see the scenery before me. Hazard is so awesome his awesome is to much for the crew to handle (no not really, I'm just expressing my undying love here)
As usual, you get better and better with creating moods and using colours.
Also, I love that I can see Mitch backbone on his neck show, that skinny little brat

It is, yes When I created Hazard I really seemed to hit the bullseye, ne?
(and I really need to stop my habit of throwing in a 'ne' as soon as I talk about him x'D )
Yes, that's because I'm practicing

I didn't think you would notice that!
But hoped that you would

I like Hazard more and more And his pose and expression are perfect, I feel pulled into the story even though I don't hear it.

Ah, but I don't think Yuujirou looks braindead
For me, braindead would be a person who would listen to such a thrilling story with stony face

How old are the "listening children" here, anyway?

Running purely on sugar... I know that state

Lienwyn In reply to Lawenta [2009-07-08 00:26:08 +0000 UTC]

Heh... I'm not going to complain I'm completely in love with the bastard x'D I just love playing him, because he's so kind, easy-going and caring. And people actually rely on him as well (not entirely wise, but ah well ) and... well... like him.
And he's good at telling stories, yes

Well, that's according to you

Let's see... Mitch is 17/18 or so, while Yuujirou is around 22... or was it 23?

Some day I'm going to try drawing with flat colours too. It seems to make things easier if nothing else But I dunno...

Anyway, it's nice and of course you couldn't keep your hands off the light effects But that's OK, because for this theme - neither could I

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lienwyn In reply to Verdokai [2009-06-29 09:25:01 +0000 UTC]

In some ways it does... but it looks less natural too >_>

Of course I couldn't! They were needed for the effect!

And it was awesome...

I liked how you dealt with the dual lighting...makes for some interesting effects...especially the blue candle in the top right.

Lienwyn In reply to NoctusKerobian [2009-06-29 22:09:12 +0000 UTC]

I would like to have met someone like that as well... but I haven't
So I created a character like that instead! Yay! x'D

Thank you
I was uncertain whether it would be alright or not, but I actually like how it turned out

Hmmm...ye've met me (In a way)...I'm a storyteller now...just in my neighborhood, mind...but still fun...have this little glade of trees...creek in the background...all the kids come to listen.

How is that candle blue, BTW...some kind of magic? Or am I missing something totally obvious?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lienwyn In reply to NoctusKerobian [2009-06-29 22:18:10 +0000 UTC]

Heh... that's true of course
I'll remember that

The glass is blue, thus the light becomes blue as well Oooooor Hazard has done something to it He doesn't do magic - as in fantasy magic - but the sleight of hands magic, and there are various chemicals that you can add to make the light blue so it's not impossible...
Buuut I think it's the glass

Lienwyn In reply to NoctusKerobian [2009-06-29 22:27:10 +0000 UTC]

Definitely
I know some flowers that if you dry them and then thrown them in the fire will give off clouds of smoke. Like in the movies you know

I don't remember what they're called though, or know if they grow on other places than here
(know what they look like though, since they grew in our old garden)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NoctusKerobian In reply to Lienwyn [2009-06-29 22:31:02 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm...could you describe them?

And one question....why the purple glasses...they look good...is Hazard blind?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lienwyn In reply to NoctusKerobian [2009-06-29 22:49:36 +0000 UTC]

Hah!
I found them! (with some help from one of my friends )

Although it is important that it's the yellow flowers, in Sweden referred to as the 'northern' ones:
