Believe me, I cried when I had to put the watermarks on it. DAMN ART THIEVES... And I know this picture would be on top of their list, Spiritstyle eh...Well, pirate - namely *abosz007 - you know what this is don't you^^. As I read your "movie scene" contest description I had to do it, and I guess we know eachother enough by now... This is my favorite scene of the movie and you wouldn't have expected anything else from me, am I right ^^ ??
So Lyo was perfect for this scene, since Pirate doesn't fit into the color scale
and is not the crying type. 1996 I saw the Balto movie and instantly imagined the White Wolf (who is by the way NOT Balto's Mother) to be a sort of spirit... if the wolves have one the horses have one too... ^^' I ended up with four of them, the only ones with real names Sturmregen = rainstorm,
Flirren = something like a really hot wind that lives during summer;

Yeah it is Balto's mother! In the second Balto movie it even says it. But it's the very last scene of it, when Aleu goes along with the other wolves, Aniu shows up and calls Balto her son. So yeah it is.

That is true for the second film. But it isn't supposed to be his mother in the first movie, which was done by different people than the sequels.
The differences between the wolf spirit and baltos mother are actually very big if you compare first and second movie. Baltos mother is smaller than the white wolf and has a completely different build.

Umm actually Aniu, the white wolf, is Balto's mother. He says it in the second movie. Just thought you could correct that since she is his mom. It pretty much comes to the end when she appears again. He says "Good-bye to you too... mother." Otherwise, I LOVE the HORSIES.

nope won't correct it, the white wolf was not meant to be his mother, the makers of the second film were others than the ones of the first film. From the point of the first film it's a symbol for his heritage, but not his mother^^ But I like to discuss that point so I will not change it

I have to disagree, The makers of the first movie stated that it is just a wolf or spirit that represents Baltos wild wolf part. I know it was said in the second part, but the sequels were made by different people and they couldn't know that the movie would succeed/ produce sequels, so I doubt that they had the plan to make the white wolf his mother right from the beginning, they just decided it for the sequel, because people would like that.

none taken. Fans of the movie Balto will know^^' it's a scene from the movie, which was called "Heritage of the Wolf" (awesome music btw) replaced with equines for the contest of a friend of mine.
