I think this is a stunning piece and it caught my eye straight away when I saw it. There's something about an empty road that's thought provoking, it's such a rare sight these days.
I like how you didn't compensate by attempting to shoot this at a strange angle as the slope of the hill provides the illusion of an angle which really adds to the shot.
While I realise it's important to sign your work the position of your signature here draws my attention away from the shot. That's a tiny issue however.
One of the things that strikes me about this shot is the symmetry on either side of the picture. The lighting towards each edge of the shot among the trees is slightly darker than the bright clear road and sky that runs through the center of the piece.

thank you so much for your wonderful critique. it means more than you know that you took the time to do so. i completely understand about my signature. lol. i will definitely be working on that. i'm thrilled you noticed the light in the center of the image... i really wanted to enhance the center and the leadin of the road to those beautiful mountains... this was taken around sunrise the morning after a Huge snow storm.

yeah i softened the edges of the image to try and get focus & clarity in the center.. think i did too much, still learning. thanks for your comment!
