OH COME ON, ERIC - JUST KISS HER ALREADY!

My heart and soul, Ariel.

IN the summer (Christmas hols) of 2010 ..as in, January 2010 - so a whole year and a half ago! [what!?] I did a huge amount of TLM art - the others are mostly freehand linearts from stills of my favourite scenes - because I am, and have always been, very obsessed and in love with, and strongly identify with Ariel, and TLM as a whole. BUT - unfortunately the particular folder I did them in is too large - far too large - for my scanner! No! - so this is a photo of it <3
THIS one is a freehand sketch I did without a reference - and therefore why she looks nothing like she does in the film, but is in my own style! :yay: ..Although, as you know, my own style doesn't normally look like this. But I wasn't going for a 'realistic' or 'semi-realistic' human version of Ariel or anything - It is a tribute to the film itself, and to the zealous, voracious, inspiring, amazing, vivacious Ariel. Who has been my one true love ever since I first set eyes upon her and her world.
I just - can't put into words how or the degree to which everything about it makes every cell in my body scream 'LOVE' and 'HAPPINESS' - ah!

It has recently come to my attention that many people think that the only reason I like Ariel is because it has, and I quote them, ''the most good looking prince'' - - And while Eric is very handsome - [and I do hope to marry someone someday who has those colourings etc.], Ariel has always been, and will always be, 'the one'. <3

hm. Appologies for the rant.. but I love her. And to quote dear Jane Austen, "Is not general incivility the very essence of love?"

Alright - so I will attempt to take photos of my other linearts and art from summer 2010 (January) that is in that particular huge folder thing to upload them here, but until then I will upload some newer work that just can't wait to meet you! ~very exciting!!~
