I was trying a very different approach from this pic [link]This is a speedpaint (a little under an hour) and done with a different technique than I normally use. I kinda like the results thought.

You forgot the sparklers! But very cool. If you just squint tight enough, the eyes start floating out at you. Looking....right.....at.....you. Oh, wait, maybe that's the wine talking.

Wow, great speedy! The perfect action scene, if you ask me. I like everything about it, except the eyes... =/ I think it would've worked better if you actually painted the lights instead of using flares...
but, I dunno, that's just me.

thats awsome! love the composition and atmosphere. it looks like hes been looking for somthing in the rubble and hes just found it. it gives a feeling that the viewer is what hes after and that they have about 0.9 of a second to live. very cool!

Thanks a lot! If you look in full view you can see that some of it is pretty rushed. A sand texture (picture taken while I was at the beach) helped to grunge it up a bit and keep it from looking too flat.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, speed painting is all I have time for. Kids, wife, work and other hobbies only leave so much drawin' time. I do particularly like how the leg on the left turned out.
