burn your past before it burns you - MeWhat I mean by "burn" the past is that don't let it get in your way.. learn from it but then you should stop dwelling on it because it doesn't do you any good.. take control of your life, don't let it control you.
* the rain on the window behind the paper represents the sadness.. and burning the paper represents getting over your pain in the past.. and not letting it affects you negatively Today!..

background choice of raindrops on a window seems to be a default 'well a plain background would be boring, but i dunno what else to make it so i'll just the subject in front of this WINDOW and hope people overlook my lack of creativity and find some unintentionally deep meaning in the window!', which makes it pretty cheesy and just kills it for me

So..."why learn from your past when you can just burn it"? I mean, it's one thing to not let your past make you suffer and stop you from moving on, but "burning" sounds like what you want is to destroy it and pretend it didn't happen.
Beautiful piece visually, but the message can be easily misunderstood.

While I really do love the composition of this photo, the message bothers me a little because I'm not sure i understand what you mean when you say to "burn" the past. The past isn't something you can destroy or will away, do you mean burn it as in don't let it be a part of your life and control you, don't let what has happened to you rule your life? If that's what you mean to say then I understand where you are coming from. i do however think that remembering and thinking about the past is something everyone should do. I once heard that the past makes us who we are today, I agree with that as well as with what you said. I believe that dwelling on things that happened and cannot be changed is bad, but I believe that remembering those things is important so you grow and become someone better than you were. Anyways, sorry if I put way to much thought into this, I just wanted share my thoughts on this piece.

U truely can not errase or burn ur past.... I truley wish i could erase the good memories and the bad memories so there will be nothing left to remember.

Blow it. Sky high. Explode that mother freaker. If you don't, it may haunt you, and you will remember it as the magical, physical past filled with highly explosive content that you missed your chance to watch the fireworks. It is an opportunity that cannot be found twice.

But, the problem is that since it is my past it is inextricably attached to me; and in this case, I am chained to it in such a way that the resulting explosion should it detonate will surely obliterate me and the nearby children's hospital; so, for the good of the children im afraid I must decline!
