Description just some weeds bent over in the wind. i took this in an area cleared for a new housing development. the result looked nothing like the desolation that stood before me, but more of a nice "country feel" type of photo.

enjoy full view

i'd be interested to see this with a white border instead of the black one..but its a stunning shot..

thanks for the fave. i totally agree with you and will have a go at this with the white border. i have been doing white borders on nearly all my recent photos. the black was a stage i was in at the time.

thanks for bringing this image back to my attention

cool! i did the same thing with my gallery..i changed all the borders to one colour...i think it makes it look more uniform..

yes. it adds a bit to a signature style. not that i have one but i'd like one

lol
why do we need a style? why cant we just take pics of whatever makes up happy?

lightandshadow In reply to pixcee [2006-04-06 04:05:11 +0000 UTC]

true. but i enjoy seeing art and knowing the artist just from spotting the style. i'd someone to see what of my photos and say "hey, there's one of dale's shots i can tell a mile away."
just a dream
but yes i totally agree with your comment of taking what makes us happy - that is important, but if that can still infuse our own flavour into that shot that would be perfect.

i just love taking pics thou..but i find i'm way more critical of what i post now...

That is a really good shot.
I tried doing a shot like this not long to ago, but it didn’t turn out anywhere near as good as yours.

thanks. the shot was just lucky. i didn't even think i had anything good when i took it or when i got home. was not going to bother with it. my wife saw something in it. after it was cropped right and given the framing it looked the goods

not with this one. i forgot to take my filters with me. i try to use a UV and an ND 4. for outside shots.
