The picture on the left side (the older one) is from the first video I posted to my 'new' channel, Gekkou1neko xD (I had another youtube before called neopian123123123)
Akiko's design changed on March 17, 2010, not long after I first found Rena. It was changed because
1. It looked like Rena, who I hadn't known when she was originally designed
2. I noticed the abundance of brown & white characters, and was kinda like FUUUUU-
3. To make her better fit my personality, since I was starting to wear more black and was less... idk. Annoying? (Well, I was still annoying, but you know.)
I laugh though because about an hour after the video was posted announcing her new design, I got a message saying how I, OMG COPIED HINAUCHI!!!!1!!!!one!. I explained to the person that I hadn't known about Rena when I first designed her, and just recently changed the design so to have SOME originality. And I don't think I heard from them about that again X3

I only know of 1 other character named Akiko, and it was made by somebody who had like 10 subscribers when I found her, so I felt the name was still original enough, cause it wasn't owned by somebody well-known. I hope the name still doesn't belong to 20 other characters-- I spent like an hour going through a list of japanese names to decide that THIS was original and THIS was what I liked XD

Akiko was my first fursona, and stepped down to be a secondary character when I adopted Lighty on December 28, 2010.

...I hope you agree my drawing has also improved. *cough*
