I can tell you that 4kids did a lot of editing to animeβs in order to make it more kid friendly yet many of them looked and sounded awkward. For instance if you compared 4kids one piece to the original dubbing, their is some major differences. Same with guns apparently much similar to how they edited the shot guns in ET and replaced them with walkie talkies.
