Here it is, the product of my toil. I have wanted to make this since I saw Tom Hooper's Les Miserables when it came out last December.And of course I had to make that damned beacon of a jacket. It was just so beautiful it simply had to be done. Everything was made by me and ~TranquilChaos28 ... mostly by hand. Nothing like historical accuracy my friends... even if my fingers are now a complete mess because of it.
I may not exactly match the gorgeousness that is Aaron Tveit, but I hope I have done the character and Paco Delgado's beautiful costume design justice.
More to come as I get around to editing all the photos taken... There were over 500 so this might take a wee while...

You definitely did! If I hadn't had a red coat already I'd jump at making one myself- but on a second thought you can never have enough red clothing nor are there ever enough Enjolras

The entire thing from idea to completion took about two months, though about a month and a half was simply pouring over reference images and trying to track down exactly what I needed. The costume itself came together in about two weeks, and that includes complete construction of everything. I have to admit, without help from ~TranquilChaos28 , it wouldn't have gotten done on time....
I do hate to leave things to the last minute, but in this case it couldn't be helped with work/ unable to find the proper waistcoat material until about a week before the con.... :/
The wig came from Ebay -- a very lucky find as I managed to snag it just before the auction ended ~

I have the same problem, sometimes it's more difficult to actually get the stuff than it is to make the costume!
I've been searching for a blonde wig... I wouldn't have thought it was have been as difficult as it has been!

It's actually a wig -- I only wish my hair was that nice!
My hair is in fact long and dark brown at the moment, so it certainly would not do for Monsieur Enjolras ~ C;
