actually, i liked Lightnign with her regular hair.
but, i would give it a chances.

I also like normal hair, but wanted something different, not losing the style of light, like that. I'm just dubious if I should slap an eye all or just a little.

The one on the left makes her look rebellious. And I LOVE IT!!!!. Β Β I think that the tips of the strands of the hair should be pointing upwards slightly so she doesn't look like Sakura from Naruto Shippudden.Β
Now... The one on the right from my POV makes her look mysterious.... Almost like "disturbingly dangerous". Still.... I F***ING LOVE IT!!!! Β . One thing that I'd recommend would be to make the bun on the side front a little bit larger. She almost looks like 2B (without the eyepatch).
If you put me to choose I'd take the option on the left.
Now that I think of it... She might look really good if she was using a haircut like this (It's just my POV):

I agree with Dante-564 Β that both look great.
But i like the right one more.
It feels fresh since and gives the face some kind of melancholy.
Maybe that is inspiration for her clothings^^.
