Description
Original designs that serve as a cheeky mockery of the "sparkle dog" internet term.Got a few sparkle fakie G3 baits from ~cookhuman, so I wanted to make something really special from these, since this is my first time obtaining these wonderful pony bases!
They're sparkly, designed after my fav animals, and I wanted to keep the designs simple (hair and paint) to show case their gorgeous sparkly bodies.
I also got the "glass eye" idea while browsing a fantasy shop; came across a cat-like gargoyle with gorgeous glass eyes. Inspired me to cut the original eyes off these sparkle fakies, and pop in some fun glass ones!
The hair styles were inspired from working on other various anime customs; every time I made a anime character custom with a full head of hair, about part way through I'd just twist the hair around and enjoy the feel of the sheer body of the hair volume. XD I at times just played with the hair, twisting it around wishing I could just twist it around and leave it styled that way.... but most characters I work on, have specific hair do's that don't require simply twisting the hair around into a 'do. So I took advantage of that freedom, and finally did as I wanted with these. XD

What I don't tell most people, is the reason I came up with a hoard of fanart customs to make, was to get me to work on design challenges I wouldn't have thought of doing otherwise. XD So fanart works as a means of refining skills and learning new techniques... the texturing of paint and body of hair are two of the skills I used for these sparkle customs.

These might be sold already.... what I'm finding, is the customs I don't put a price on, sell. When I say "Oh by the way, this custom is worth [insert amount here]" I don't get much of a response. XD

That's interesting. Then again, if you don't have a price tag, people go "OMG WANT!" first instead of going "Ugh.... look at that price... do I really want it that bad? I don't wanna spend money."

The main problem I'm running into, is people used to think my customs were "under-priced", and when people think something's underpriced, then the thought crosses their mind that it isn't that good of quality. Granted, my beginning work was far from perfect, so I didn't mind charging a small amount when starting.
Since I've sat and tallied the actual costs going into the time and materials of each custom, the price went up. I'm running into a lot of people that can't afford my prices, yet there are a few that won't bat an eye.
So if I start under-pricing again, I run the risk of people thinking my work isn't that great, then they won't buy it. So.... I think I'll keep them at a slightly inflated price..... even though I do lose a few sales due to people not wanting to "bust their bank accounts" so to speak. XD
But you know, damned if you do, damned if you don't....
