I always have lace hanging around in my sewing box, because i make so much victorian/Lolita stuff, so i came up with a couple of ways to use it. I figured i'd share it, in case anyone else has a surplus of lace too.Hope this is helpful to you guys. More polymer clay tutorials are on their way soon, and any tutorial suggestions are welcome.
If you use this tut, let me know, i'd love to see what you come up with.

wait how do i know how long the lace has to be before i put on the elastic etc?

It depends on how ruffled you want the lace to be once it is elasticated. I was using scraps, so i just used what i had left over, but generally my rule is to make the lace twice as long as the elastic. Does that answer your question?

It depends; usually i buy lace as i need it for a project, with a bit extra in case i mess up, but i also keep an eye out for bits of lace in second hand stores or on sale in craft stores. That's why i always have bits left over.
