Sacred Capital

The Sacred Capital is the capital of the religion of the silver light. Inside of the city exists four major factions: Avengers, Libertarians, Saints and Paladins, all of them working together with the purpose of making a better world. Ponies consider it to be the closest place in the whole world of light.

The Sacred Capital was founded to be a safe haven against the darkness, should one day the evil in the hearts of ponies overshadow the good. It has been founded by Silver Light himself, messiah of the light religion to serve as a headquarters for the operations of the light.

The city is divided in three layers: the civilian, the military and the executive. In the civilian, houses, crops and markets populate the place, making it self sufficient enough to house the population. It's important to remark that there is no unemployment inside the city, because the rulers make sure to share and create jobs in time they are needed. Of course this means that ponies cannot choose the job they will receive, but it's possible to ask for transfers when another job opens applications.

In the military section, each faction has their barracks and academies. Also it's in the military section that the Keep of Justice is kept, serving as the main base to designate expeditions. Expeditions can be either military or civilian movements, made with the purpose of converting ponies or facing threats to the light.

In the executive section each faction has a building symbolizing their ideology. There is also a council and a cathedral. In the council the chosen leaders of each faction are allowed to discuss their philosophies and choose how to rule the city.

The cathedral is where the pope lives. The pope is generally chosen between all the saints through an election, trying to find the one who is closest to the light. Since all saints are humble, there is generally a consensus of who should be the pope. An important thing to know is that it was Silver Light himself who decided Saints should be the leaders of faith, because he knew that Saints were too pure to be corrupted.

Sacred Walls

The Sacred Walls are one of the most polemic subjects on the Sacred Capital. They are enchanted walls who don't let anything that doesn't believe in Silver Light to enter into the city. They were made more than a thousand years in the past with the objective of protecting the city against neighboring kingdoms and attacks of naturally chaotic races, like Dragons.

Defenders of the creation of the walls are the Paladins, the Saints and the Avengers. The Avengers sees them as an opportunity to make a truly safe city from the darkness. The Paladins believe they are a necessary add-on to survive in a dangerous world. The Saints sees them as an opportunity to simulate how would be life in heaven. Less radical Libertarians also enjoy their protection, seeing them more as a protective measure than a religious dogma.

Opponents of the walls believe they create xenophobia against other races and beliefs, making the population of the light look bigoted and exclusive from the world. They are mostly composed of radical Libertarians, those who believe the light shouldn't do anything that could mess with free will.

It's important to notice that since the creation of the walls, crime is almost inexistent inside the Sacred Capital. And so is foreign trade.
