Story:

Oh shoot, I never planned this far, hold on, let me come with a story real quick.  Uh…


Pneuma falls into a machine and can’t get out because it has a higher anime bullshit power level than she does.  She struggles at first but then it suddenly starts up and she finds out she really likes how it feels.  She’s enjoying herself as she comes out and hopes Rex will be along soon to find her because she can’t move.


There, that should work.  


Quick question, what do y’all think about these stories?  Recently I’ve been not even putting up a story for these and when I do its generally really short and lackluster.  Do you think I should spend the extra time to come up with something or should I just not bother?  Legitimately curious what y’all think so feel free to comment or message me what you think.  


Notes:

Hey look, its another animation with Pneuma.  And this time its more interesting than the last one.  I’ve done a few ones where they’re getting slowly put through a wringer like this, but because of technical limitations I always had to do some tricks with the camera panning and it made it look not so great.  This one is nice though, and while I still had to use some tricks, I think this looks much better than the other stuff I’ve done with wringers.


I got the idea from this animation over here ( www.deviantart.com/distortingr… ), which happens to use the same character.  Its still got some of my own stuff in here where I have a lot more going on before the machine starts up and the one I drew inspiration from has a lot more after.  (Plus that one is just way higher quality in general, looks like it took way more time and effort and uses a bunch of methods and techs that I have no idea how they work.)


Speaking of which, I love the falling that I have before.  The way she bends her knees as she falls looks great and I think my use of recoil frames (I think that’s what they’re called) really sells the impact here.  Basically after the main keyframe I just add a slightly more exaggerated one a few frames later and it makes all the motion look much more fluid.  


In my opinion this is some of the best motion I’ve done so far.  It's not super detailed or complex with only one character model and one of my home made models, but I think you can really see a lot of the techs I’ve learned.  Stuff like king frames and recoil frames look great, I make use of both linear and non-linear velocity keyframes, and overall its just a pretty smooth animation.  I know there’s still a ton of issues here that should look better, but I’m still really happy with this, even if it's a bit simple.
