Description
Skearhead (スキアヘッド ?) is a general from the Undergu Empire , and the true main antagonist from Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure . He was also Empress Undergu 's right-hand man.Skearhead is later revealed to be the incarnation of Undergu Energy, Darkhead (ダークヘッド ?). His final form goes by the name of Daijarg (ダイジャーグ ?).
Bio Appearance Skearhead appears as a bald middle-aged man with mauve skin. He has purple facial markings and eyeshadow, pointed ears, and black horns on top of his head. His eyes are hazel, and he wears a monocle on his right eye, as well as silver hoop earrings. Skearhead's outfit consists of a dark maroon robe with gold eye-shaped symbols at the bottom of his sleeves, a red collar with yellow markings, a silver belt around his waist, and black cloth draped over both shoulders that has yellow trim and red markings at the bottom. Beneath the robe, he wears a dark red turtle neck shirt with silver trim and a silver plate on his chest. His gloves and boots are black.
As Darkhead, his devil-like features become more prominent. His horns turn blood red and grow longer, with a third one growing out of his forehead. His skin takes on a purple hue, and his ears become pointier and longer. He also gains red marks around his eyes and more demonic and tattered clothing. His right sleeve is ripped off, and his earrings and monocle turn black.
As Daijarg, he loses most of his humanoid features and becomes a giant dark purple snake with white star-like spots on his body, blood-red horns, red eyes, yellow sclerae, and gold fangs. When purified, he turns bright white with grey marks.
Personality Skearhead is a cold and threatening being who is hard to read. On the surface, he seems to be a loyal servant of Empress Undergu. However, he is actually manipulative and cruel. He is willing to exploit his subordinates for his and the Empress' benefit. He prefers only accomplishing his goals, and only engages in battle if the other party attacks him first. He believes that power is everything, and the key to victory and those without it are worthless. Skearhead will do whatever it takes to achieve the goals of the Undergu Empire, including turning Minoton into a Ranborg against his will and attempting to kill Battamonda for turning good, and giving up on his mission.
Despite his cruelty, Skearhead cares for Empress Undergu. He served her father, Emperor Undergu, loyally and became her caretaker after his death. However, Skearhead is sadistic and seeks to ensure the Undergu Energy reigns supreme. He betrayed and murdered Emperor Undergu, whom he manipulated into fighting the Kingdom of Sky Land and then killed when he made peace with them. He even brainwashed Empress Undergu into thinking that Princess Elleelain killed her father to ensure she continued the fight.
Ultimately, Skearhead wants to spread his influence at others' expense. Skearhead is a deceitful and uncaring person who only uses those who fit his ideology. He relishes his repressed emotions when he is desperate. As the embodiment of the Undergu Energy, he lacks any actual noble qualities.
Relationships - Emperor Undergu : His former boss. He killed Emperor Undergu after the Emperor had changed his mind.
- Empress Undergu : His current boss and pupil. Skearhead is loyal towards Empress Undergu, and will successfully fulfill her orders, no matter what it takes. He believes it is his mission to protect her, as he was tasked with being her tutor. However, he ends up changing his mind and backstabs her. He also reveals that he has never loved her.
- Battamonda : Skearhead doesn't like how carefree and persistent Battamonda is. When he finds out Battamonda had gave up on his mission, he prepares to kill him, until Mashiro confronts him.
- Minoton : Skearhead dislikes how Minoton prefers to be honorable, and would rather exploit Minoton to a means of his own ends.
Etymology The name Skearhead is a combination of "skear" (σκια), which is the Greek word for "shadow" [1] , and Sukinheddo (スキンヘッド ?), meaning "skinhead".
History 300 years ago, Skearhead accompanies Empress Undergu to Sky Land, but is ordered by Emperor Undergu to take the Empress back to the Empire as it's too dangerous for her to be close to the battlefield.HSPC44 In the Empire, Skearhead informs the Empress that strength is everything despite her grievances. Sometime later, Skearhead appears in Sky Land's royal city and begins another attack while the Emperor fights Cure Noble . He is then confused when he notices the Ranborgs disppearing several hours later.HSPC45
It is later revealed that Skearhead decides to kill Emperor Undergu for declaring peace with Sky Land, and alters Empress Undergu's memories to make her blame Elleelain for the Emperor's death.HSPC49
Skearhead appears before Minoton to banish him into another dimension. Later, Skearhead appears before Ageha's car and sends the group into another dimension, where he kidnaps Ellee-chan . Skearhead informs the Cures of where Ellee-chan is and tries to retreat but is attacked by Cure Sky , who tries to beat the answer out of him. However, Skearhead refuses to tell the Undergu Empire's plans for Ellee-chan to the Cures because it's none of their business. He proceeds to engage in battle with the Cures, where he weakens them. Skearhead tells them that they're out of options to save Ellee-chan and informs them to steer clear from Undergu Empire business, when suddenly a mysterious Cure confronts him. Skearhead asks for her name, and vows to save Cure Majesty's name in his mind palace as he retreats.HSPC31
After battling the Pretty Cure, Skearhead informs the Undergu Empress about Elle-Chan, and formulates a plan to kill the princess before she destroys the Empire with her powers, which the Empress approves of. Skearhead later turns Minoton into a Ranborg to fight against the Cures. After Minoton is originally purified by Updraft Shining , Skearhead decides Minoton can be used as a servant. HSPC32 He later becomes more aware of Ellee-chan's growing powers after watching Majesty perform Majestic Halation with the other Cures to purify Minoton. HSPC33 Skearhead then heads to Sorashido City to confront the Cures again with a Kyoborg , and states that he now knows something is about to happen when retreating. HSPC34
Throughout the following episodes, Skearhead repeatedly attacks the Cures using his Kyoborgs. He attacks Sora when she is trying to help Tamaki HSPC35 , targets Ageha when she is spending time with Takeru on his last day at the nursery HSPC36 , interrupts the team's happy moments by attacking them at the fallen treeHSPC37 , and even invades the island where the Sky Land 's Dragon Tribe were residing on. He summons a Kyoborg that is connected itself to the island's vines. Thankfully, the Cures eventually manage to purify the Kyoborg, saving the island from Skearhead's Kyoborg.HSPC38
Skearhead later discovers that Battamonda has abandoned his mission and decides to punish him for it. However, Mashiro intervenes and confronts Skearhead. Skearhead explains to Mashiro that the Undergu Empire eliminates those they consider worthless. After the Cures defeat his Kyoborg, Sky confronts Skearhead and demands to know why the Undergu Empire is so cruel to their subordinates. Skearhead cryptically responds that they do so because Empress Undergu, the one they serve and love, wants them to act that way. His words confused Sky, giving Skearhead the opportunity to attack her with an Undergu Energy orb. However, Wing pushes Sky out of the way before Skearhead can retreat.HSPC41 However when confronted by Sky about having a misguided purpose in fighting for the person he is loyal to, Skearhead retreats after refusing to talk with her as he doesn't accept that she might be right.HSPC42
Later, Skearhead orders Battamonda to ingest Undergu Energy in exchange for sparing Battamonda's life. However, Battamonda defies him by returning Mashiro's Mirage Pen, so Skearhead further brainwashes Battamonda out of anger. After being retorted by Prism, who defies his ideology, Skearhead begrudgingly retreats after Battamonda is purified.HSPC43
Upon learning that Cure Majesty has fully awakened, Skearhead, having placed Empress Undergu within a recovery device, heads to Sky Land to confront the Cures, despite Empress Undergu's protest. He attempts to shatter Sky Land's barrier, but his Ranborgs are overpowered by the Cures. He then exudes a strong explosion of Undergu Energy in hopes of destroying Sky and Majesty, only to gravely injure himself. He then tells the Cures that there is no use healing him, and he dies as he returns to being pure forces of Undergu Energy after succumbing to his wounds, while still believing that strength is everything and apologizing to the Empress for being unable to protect her.HSPC47 However, it turns out his death is temporary, and he returns after stabbing Empress Undergu with a spear.HSPC48
After betraying Empress Undergu, Skearhead reveals the truth of him being the incarnation of Undergu Energy and engages in a final fight with the Cures. He temporarily corrupts Sky with Undergu Energy by holding Prism hostage, so he can turn her into his vessel, but his plan fails after Prism succeeds in purifying Sky.HSPC49 Transforming into Daijarg, he resorts to trying to get Empress Undergu to be his vessel by lying that he loves and needs her, only for her to resist and expel him from her body. Desperate, Daijarg decides to attack Sorashido City in order to find another vessel. However, he is no match against the Cures and meets his demise as he is purified by Majestic Halation in the end.HSPC50
