Lovely Dementor - one of my most favourite creature from Harry Potter.

If there is any creature to ever walk this earth that is fouler than Dementors it's adults(parents, older siblings, teachers)even women teachers). They have the power to consume happiness, drain every good feeling and destroy every dream and positivity a child, if not teenager, has in his/her life. If they can, like the Dementor, the adult will feed on the child/ or teeanager long enough to reduce them to something like themselves... soulless, miserible, and left with nothing but the worst experiences in life.
