So I'm into this high-contrast-subtle-colors phase right now, for some reason, these types of shots are really appealing to me. Is it a mood thing? Don't know.....that's how I've always been, fickle I guess....hmmmm.This is another picture taken during our trip to the Phoenix Zoo, this shot really embodies the Sonoran Desert, so I thought I would share, enjoy my desert home

Looks like a real humid day. Not really sure why but the high-contrast-subtle colors thing I think gives it more of a better visual of what it's like there then if you were to brighten the colors. That and really shows how dry and hot it is.

It's sunny and blue sky here over 300 days a year...believe it or not, it gets old. That's why we get so excited for weather.
So what I need is the perfect place....all 4 seasons, a great mix of all diferent kinds of weather (excluding severe), with gorgeous scenery! Of course if such a place existed, it'd be so crowded there wouldn't be any room for me

It is, there are many beautiful places here. The desert has a beauty all it's own. Of course, a couple of hours by car and I'm at 7,000' elevation in pine trees.
I do miss green though, I mean vibrant trees, grass green. Here most everything has more brown than anything. Funny, when I travel I get awestruck from all of the green, and my friends can't understand because they live in it and are used to it.
You have spectacular scenery in Europe, no? Rolling hills, trees, streams, amazing mountains...and green, right?

yes and the scenery in Arizona is spectacular - yes we have a couple of different landscapes and round Berlin it's not too bad, we have lots of lakes - but we can't compare with wilderness landscapes as in North or South Amercia - finally Europe has in a smaller scale comparable landscapes to North America

I have always wanted to see Germany, Austria, and Switzerland....the Alps are magnificient, at least from photos. My hertiage is eastern European and Russian. I soo must travel to your part of the world someday.
There are most definately spectacular places here in the U.S. The Rocky and Sierra Nevada mountains are absolutely breathtaking. The plains of the midwest, where I was raised seem to on, and on, and on as far as the eye can see. The north has the spectacular forests, lakes, rivers and streams. And of course the desert.
I want to go to Canada someday, too...it is amazingly beautiful.

Yes definately the US is beautiful, i love Arizona, Utah, Washington State, California and Alaska -- Nevada is a bit too warm for me though
