Finally finished this darn mod....only to find out the eyeballs aren't posable and are stuck to the eyelid. So don't expect a release of this.

Is this model playable in the game and how do you mod/edit them? I have a few designs I want to make

Quite desperate to know? Well it AIN'T easy, you can't truly fit a tutorial in here. (Don't worry though I taught myself and my first tries looked BAD.)
Anyways these pics are from models that are extracted from the game and used in another program. So I'm not sure how to make them work in game. You may need to talk to someone else about changing game textures.
The program I use is GIMP. And you may need knowledge of the different components of a texture. The basics are:
Diffuse: The main one with all them fancy colors. It looks kinda weird, I sometimes have a hard time figuring out what part colors what in the models.
lightmap: The shadows and lights in your models.
normalmap or bumpmap: A models isn't smooth this odd looking purple thing gives it...well texture and bumps. On gimp there is a PLUG-IN you can install to make it for you from the diffuse...
But most people just mess with the diffuse. If you want the mod to look good then also edit the other maps to match your texture.
Most textures don't usually come in .png so be wary that you may have to add plug-in to Gimp or whatever program you use.

i have a few minecraft skins and textures that i put a lot of work into and no-one thanks me, but do i bitch and moan about it? no. i release my stuff so other people can use it and so that they find something they want.
helping people without asking for anything in return is an admirable trait you know (why yes i ham patting myself on the back im allowed to do that because i recognize all my other shortcomings, and believe me there are a lot of those)
