I've been comparing this one with your shot Torch [link] and i think this one's better
I don't really like 'rules' in a creative thing like photography, but i think the rule of thirds (i'm sure you're familiar with it) does have a point. In this shot the rule has been applied and in Torch it hasn't, and the difference is very clear. Here the lighthouse is really the center subject, while in the other shot its more like "some object on the right".
Furthermore, this shot is very soft, however i think it's a bit too dark. A bit more exposure would make the lighthouse brighter and the shot a bit more vivid
I like it though, i always picture some ship in a storm, guided home by the lighthouse.. Somehow there's something special with lighthouses
