Description So I did some concept art. Those who joined me two weeks ago at the livestream might have seen me sketch some of these, but I haven't come around to color them and stuff until I added Ceyra to the sheet yesterday. Because I wanted to draw her and I wanted to practice drawing camels in my style. For my first try this worked out surprisingly well! ;w; So whoever is reading "The Fae Prince", now you see how Ceyra looks like!

Anyways, since the question of what clothing standarts are have gone around for a whole now I decided to sketch out some concepts of how different type of clothes generally look like. The text bedie it says which type of clothing it is and where is is worn. But I want to give you some more specifics on it.

_________1. Regular Everyday Dress (female)__________
I used Anadil as a model for this, because I also wanted to design her. Also note that she is a CHILD. Either way, this piece of clothign is very often seen on children as well as adults, though it is worn by only females (I guess I cannot say "women", because that refers to humans, but you know what I mean!). It is not this specifiy design, but designs like this one, which are very common. Note that the front piece is usually made with sleeves so that it stays where it is and affixed with buttons on the back. That a vest, that is held together by a band in the front, like the red one here is aded is also very common since it offers additional protection to the chest area from cold weather as well as it does hide the buttons on the back of the "shirt"/dress, so that the possibility of them opening is decreased. The back half of the outfit is either a long skirt like shown here, or it is a part of the sleeve-piece itself, making it a full dress. The outfit shown above is a partial dress, that is made out of three pieces: the shirt, the vest and the long skirt. The most important thing is that the backquarters are covered (hide that ass!), so make sure that it is not too short!

_________2. Long fur-lined Coat (female)______________
Another piece of female wear would be a long cloak, which is most common in the North Lands and therefore is almost always fur-lined, to protect from the cold. It has long sleeves that are usually cut fit to the leg length of the wearer and is held on the body by a belt in the middle. It also very often comes with a hood, that is drawn back most of the time. It is completely fur-lines from the inside while a part of that fur sticks out on the corners, creating the two-toned look. This piece of clothing is usually more expensive than your average cloak, so mostly the richter middle class or high society is seen running around in those.

_________3. Regular Everyday Wear (male)____________
Thank you Drako for modelling. :'D Fun aside, this piece is mostly made for agility. Since a long cloak will hinder you when you run, this piece will not. It's something either worn under a cloak or just without a cloak (when it's warm). It's not specific to just the North Lands, but can be worn basically everywhere, since it's just that basic in design. Also the primar objective here is to cover dat ass (this will be a reoccuring theme, get used to it) and to protect the wearer from minor exterior influences (cold, heat, etc.). Also it can be worn by any ages, but is more considered a piece of clothing for males.

_________4. Normal not-lines Cloak___________________
This is one of the most common cloaks, equipped with a hood, sleeves and a belt to keep it in its place. In contrary to the long coat, this one is made in a much more simple manner. It lacks the elegance of the long coat, making it not gender-specific, so that everyone can wear it. It also comes in all colors. The example here just is black because Drako's cloak is black. As you can see, it's also easy to wear a weapon belt over it (Drako with his sword here), granting one easy access to one's weapon of choice. It's usually a little longer at the backside since it is less for agility and more for wandering.

_________5. Normal fur-lined Cloak___________________
This cloak is VERY common in the North Lands. It keeps one warm and fits nicely around the body. It basically is like the normal cloak, but just with fur on the inside.

_________6. Cheap Desert Cloak______________________
This piece of clothing is usually only seen in Koruna, since it is made for the harsh heat of the desert. The fabric has the ability to keep the heat out and to keep the body on normal temperature. Since this is the very cheap version is does not have the additional ability to cool the body down, as the more expensive variants have. It is mainly to protect the body from the heat and is also flexible enough so that you can wear weapon belts (like Ceyra's knife belt here) or bags over it. While this is how a cloak for a camel would look like, the design is practically the same for every species: a piece of usually brown or white cloth, beld together by a belt and a few buttons at the front side.

These are just a few designs I created after torough studies of medieval clothing. But those are by far not all. I still miss the Eriwon clothes (kimonos, etc.) and the casual daywear Koruna clothes for females, as well as clothing pieces that would be considered lingerie. I will include the latter so that you guys can see where a line has to be drawn to not let your character look accidently "enticing" :'D

I hope this here already helps a few people. And if it does not help you, enjoy some visual guidance pictures for "The Fae Prince", so that you now know hot to imagine the characters. And yes, Drako has completely black fur here, but that's because he is under a constant illusion spell. Cannot let everyone know that the prince of Koruna is still alive after all.
and before anyone might ask: yes, Drako has black eyes on the top right one (and a different mane style). I'll explain later why that is the case.

hmm, I think her blue cloak is quite okay c:
the only thing you could still add would maybe be strappings so that it stays neatly around the body and doesn't floaw around so much

I figured it was fine but I've been meaning to re-design it anyways. It was her father's so it would look more like a male's anyways. Later on she'll have it retouched, but that's a different story.
Hey, in my defense the flow was before the "law of clothes" xDDD Basically Camil is just gonna have her cloak. That'll be one way to spot that she's a traveler. I imagine when she gets into Koruna she'll have a veil to avoid causing a scene. Since she respects customs in towns and doesn't want to be thrown in jail over something "that could have been solved with a sword" as she says xD

pfff, these kinds of cloaks are gender-neutral. at least I would say so

I was just mentioning it since you said you wanted it to be changed. sorry! :'D
Camil with a veil? while that might come in handy for disguise purposes it still is ironicly uncharacteristic

You're fine girl! I didn't mean to seem snappy

Yes it is uncharacteristic but, it's either that or she gets unwanted attention

thank you so much! hahaha, and Drako. :'D of course. He is just so cute as a kid
now you probably get why Drako is intimidated by her. it's not just the fact that she carries around knives with her, it's also her general looks.

thank you so much! c:
admit it, you just like it because it's the more simple thing to draw, but you would be wrong! :'D the fluff took way longer than it looks here
I shall do that as a side joke. I bet Journey will love it since Cougar is THAT type of character. you can put him literally everywhere and he would fit :'D
