Ah, yes. Lighting and shading. It can make or break your drawing.

Ya i painted the tree n then used the burn n dodge tool to really bring out the shadows and highlights of the tree. So the sunset hit certain parts of the tree and branches.Β

I don't know much about digital, but that burn n dodge tool you used. Did the job like your saying.

I even bumped up the saturation and the colors balance using more reds n yellows. It turned out nice cuz the trees got a nice reddish glow a lil. I'm currently working on another Fall pic. Nor a Scenery one but another pic of some sort hopefully it comes out right. I got the background they way I want but its half way done so I might finish it today I'd I can get to it lol

Well, I guess your watchers can help judge that.

Ya the burn n Dodge tool is nice to use. I use it to help define my shading more. The Burn Tool I'll use to enhance my shadows and the Dodge Tool I'll use for highlights. I use them at a low exposure. But this one in particular I used high exposure setting.

I like both really. I liked traditional artwork but then once I began trying out digital lol there is no stopping wut u can do. It opens up so much more u can create if u like. And if u can do both traditional and digital. Its the best of both worlds the way I see it. U can take any of ur original drawings and recreate them or color them and its amazing. That's how I got hooked. I colored my traditional anime art and then one thing lead to another lol
