*big happy sigh* Wow, look at that. Real art. That I did. That's actually [i]finished[/i]!

This is Sion. He's a minor character in "The Book of Rain", a novella I'm working on. He's a celtic warrior, and was in a relationship with the main character's father. the main character ends up comparing himself and his soul long-standing relationship to Sion and Draga, his father.

New shading technique, which totally kicked ass, even if it was kind of a bitch to get right. I did this all in one sitting (my shoulders are [i]killing[/i] me!), and the only thing I'm really upset with is the background (I [i]suck[/i] at backgrounds), and Sion's hair (I [i]suck[/i] at hair, and just used a base color, gradient fill and the Grass texture). Original sketch was based off this fairy on a big card my friend gave to me, which I modified to suit his structure.

Sketch: .5 mechanical pencil (and I started to use a .3 pen, but the nib broke. I have to buy a new one in Seattle.)
Finished Product: Twain scanner to acquire, Paint Shop Pro 6 features including airbrush, and various fills.
