Ha ha...so on...BSG's forum. Poor Lil had her home smashed in, her gold stolen and was taken prisoner. Man, Azula and Zuko are jerks.Obviously it took place before Zuko changed sides. Hmm...and he left and uh...didn't exactly help her escape. So poor Lil is still Azula's prisoner.
Anyway, this is one of my in the car sketches from vacation. I referenced the pose from one of my art books, but the clothes and face and hair and body type and everything is different.
Still...I need to work on my poses. I'm still way better from a reference.
Pencil and ink on sketchpad. Tweaked in photoshop 4.0 elements.

What cute little prisoner
I enjoy her feminine shapes, just like her arms and her chest a lot.
Her facial expression reveals, that she is still very proud and untamed, even though these heavy chains put her strictly in her place.

XD When we moved from Washington to Michigan last summer, we drove. It was a 5 day drive....well 4 1/2. Anyway, I got pretty used to drawing in the car...and I had a broken finger then..so it was even harder.

XD You know, I thought about showing part of Zuko...like just an arm from behind or something...but even that seemed rather....suggestive. XD So I left him out. ....I should add Jet holding a whip. XD

It's much more emotional than my usual stuff. Which is fun.
I used to struggle with the clothing folds so much. I spent a lot of time staring at people's clothing to see how it falls. XD But I think it's helped.
