I remember I once had a friend from when I was younger and two of her biggest fears were getting a caterpillar in her ear and another was Koh the Face Stealer from the Last Airbender. Apparently one time we had this journal thing where we had to write what was one the freakiest dreams were ever had and she wrote about a nightmare of a caterpillar getting into her ear and then seeing Koh the Face Stealer in a haunted mirror inside a dark room. I wonder if the creators of the Last Airbender and Dragon Prince ever found that out and created that Mirror Elf and Caterpillar just to creep the audience out. lol

Aaravos is my favorite thing so far. XD But if I had to choose something else,, it’d be the fact that humans CAN use magic. That they can form a connection even if they are born without it. Kinda makes us magically special in a way, especially if that means we can learn more than one. Another thing I love is the music.

So why is Aaravos your favorite thing so far?
I have to admit is that I think that he is a very interesting character of being an archmage with 6 primal elements+dark magic. Though I am on the fence on the theories if he is going to be the true villain or not. Even if it turns out to be true I don't want them make it in a way that's too predictable or have him be that one person they have to kill to in order to rewrite fate, or else that would be too boring and cliched for me. Plus another aspect of the show is how it's written in a way of where nobody is truly evil and everybody has a reason for the way they are.

Mainly because there is so much we don't know about him - and it's clear that he is very important, the fact that he's the narrator proves it off the bat. We don't know what his intentions are or where he is or why he is there. We don't know how trustworthy he is even though he says that he 'never lies.' The creators specified that Aaravos is generally 'disliked' and that isn't the same thing as being bad. I like to assume that Aaravos is ahead of his time and that his ideas are frowned upon because the world isn't yet ready. No one else has mastered all the elements, so him doing that is unthinkable. Who knows what else he is capable of?
Also, the idea that he likes humans is actually kinda...nice. In a world where elves have a bias against humans and can only see their flaws- Aaravos sees potential. I suppose that as a human, I find that to be very refreshing. I'm so tired of the whole "MAN IS EVIL AND RUINS NATURE" sort of cliche.
But all in all... I just love a good mysterious hot character with sass. xD

I agree on the whole "man is evil and ruins nature" is a really annoying trope that they seem to have a lot of children's these days. So I really like shows such as Dragon Prince or Yeloli where that would challenge the idea yet steal deals with the realism of the problems of society. Plus I am somewhat hoping Aaravos is going to be a neutral character that represents how light and darkness a being two sides of the same coin since I heard that his name even means "between darkness and light" which I think is pretty cool fact.
P.S Apparently, I heard it's a meme to say you're in love with a mirror in the Dragon Prince fandom for some reason? lol

That's the first time I've heard of that meme and I follow the fandom on Tumblr. xD
But yeah, I like that we have these creators from Avatar TLA working on this show, because they are great storytellers. They are perfectly capable of involving diversity and morals and real life issues into their characters and story without making it patronizing and forced- but actually make it seem real and natural. Unlike Zootopia. *coughs* >_> I just wish "The Dragon Prince" was more popular. It feels like it's still in its baby stage in terms of discovery.

Even one of my friends/ subscriptions on YouTube who goes by the name "The Virtual Celebrity" made a joke about it, even though she isn't as interested in Dragon Prince bit decided to give season 2 a shot.
