Description Don't worry.  I have no intension to go back to doing Inuyasha fan art.  In fact, I haven't watched that show since it stopped producing new episodes years ago (2011? 2010?), nor have I gone back to read the manga since it ended (2007?).  At any rate, a comment on an age old piece that i did prompted me to see what Sesshomaru would look like now: in my current style.  I drew him quite often at one point, when I was more into the fandom, and watched my version of him change with my art style.  One of my favorite things abut fan art is reinterpretation of a character.  It's interesting to see what aspects of my style have changed and what has remained the same...

Done digitally because my drawing board is too full at the moment.  TBH: my traditional ink lines wouldn't look much different anyhow.  Brushier, perhaps... but that wasn't the point of this exercise.

Sesshomaru belongs to Rumiko Takahashi and Biz

This art by me.

You know, I've done the same- re-draw a character in a "modern" time to compare. I have to admit, it's a blast from the past, and certainly lets us all dive into that strange "Wow, I've CHANGED" mindset. Sometimes, I think my older art is better though... ever have that?

I've actually worked really hard to bring more of an animated feel to my work that I'm glad is there.  There are aspects of my older stuff that I like, but I definitely feel as tough I've gotten "better" (whatever THAT constitutes ).  Or, at least, better for me.
